Our History – Servicing Brisbane for over 37 Years
Established in 1986, Action Indoor Plant Hire (AIPH), were an interior plantscaping company based in Brisbane Queensland serviced the Greater Brisbane, Caboolture and Gold Coast for 25 years and survived good and bad times.
AIPH changed its name to IEQ Indoor Plants on July 1, 2011. IEQ – Indoor Environmental Quality – refers to the overall comfort of a building’s interior and the comfort and health of its occupants. Many factors contribute to indoor environmental quality, including the use of daylight, passive design and natural ventilation, air quality, and indoor plants.
Alan Davis, founder of the former Action Indoor Plant Hire said, “We did not rebrand to leave behind negative baggage. It was the right time to change our name for several reasons. Firstly, we wanted a new name, relevant in today’s world. One that would carry the business into the next decade and say, ‘we are fit and well and here to stay.’ We wanted to show we are current in today’s changing world, that we care about the environment that we are a strong company with a great future”.
The management and team have stayed the same. Alan said “the new brand retains a similar main graphic theme to that used by Action Indoor Plant Hire. We retained the three wedge-shaped planters, but with Kelly’s skills, from Puro Design, Redcliffe, they evolved into a modern look with vivid colours and a new design.
In 2021, Jason and Christina became the proud new owners of IEQ Indoor Plants in Redcliffe. Jason and Christina are also the owners of Blooms Hire, a long-established landscaping and plant hire company in Clontarf. Their team of qualified and experienced staff have skills across all fields of horticulture, including corporate landscaping, programmed landscape maintenance, tree work and indoor plant hire.
